A Swiss Christmas Melody
Beneath the peaks of snowy white,
A village glows with festive light,
The chapel bells in valleys ring,
A hymn of joy the mountains sing.
The crisp, cold air is soft with cheer,
As loved ones gather, drawing near,
By fires that crackle, hearts are warmed,
A sacred bond through storms transformed.
The pine trees wear their winter gown,
While stars above watch o’er the town,
A quiet peace, so pure, so bright,
Wraps all the world on this holy night.
Through frosted panes, the children spy,
The glint of magic in the sky,
A sleigh, a star, a whisper low,
That dreams and hope in hearts still grow.
In every home, the table’s spread,
With bread and wine, and prayers are said,
To honor love and joy’s embrace,
In every heart, a sacred space.
So here, amidst the Alpine glow,
Where winter’s beauty steals the show,
We share this wish, sincere, divine:
A Merry Christmas, yours and mine.
May peace abide in snow’s caress,
And every heart its love confess,
For on this night, the world is one,
Beneath the moon, beneath the sun.
