En un charquito junto al jardín, vive una rana llamada Chiquilín. Salta hacia arriba: ¡uno, dos, tres! y cae en el agua con los dos pies. 🐸 ¡Croac, croac! canta al despertar, 🐸 ¡croac, croac! vuelve a saltar. Da una voltereta, mueve el sombrero, ¡y corre detrás de un escarabajo viajero! Sale la rana con su paraguas, bajo la lluvia chapotea en las aguas. Una gotita le toca la nariz, y Chiquilín responde: “¡Qué feliz!” Salta a la izquierda, salta hacia atrás, gira como un trompo y vuelve a saltar. La mariposa la invita a bailar, y hasta los grillos comienzan a cantar. Cuando la luna se empieza a asomar, Chiquilín bosteza y se va a descansar. Cierra sus ojitos dentro del juncal: “¡Buenas noches, amigos, hasta mañana, croac-croac!”
