Beneath the blue of morning skies, The streets begin to glow, And flags of blue, white, red unfold As gentle breezes blow. The bells ring out across the towns, The colors rise and sway, While families gather side by side To celebrate the day. The past has left its powerful mark, Its stories still remain, But every generation walks ahead, Through sunshine, hope, and rain. So let the tricolor fly high, Let music fill the air, And let the spirit of liberté Be carried everywhere. Today we honor France with joy, With friendship, pride, and cheer— Happy Bastille Day to all, And may hope shine throughout the year!
