Where the Maple Leaf Flies-Poem on Canada Independence Day

Across the lakes where morning light Turns silver waves to gold, A quiet land begins its day, With stories yet untold. The maple leaf above us waves, Red against the blue, A simple sign of home and hope, Of all we’ve journeyed through. From snowy hills to western shores, From forests deep and wide, Different voices, different dreams, Yet somehow side by side. The streets are bright with laughter, The night begins to glow, And every little spark of light Has somewhere else to go. Canada, today we celebrate Not just the land we see, But kindness, courage, dreams, and hearts, And what we hope to be. So let the maple leaf fly high, Let fireworks cross the sky, And let our voices rise together— Happy Canada Day!
