An Emotional Expression of a Lost Lover (Love Poem)
I saw the stars fall silent tonight,
Their silver whispers dimmed in flight.
The moon, too heavy, bowed its glow,
For even it could feel my woe.
You were the dream my soul once cradled,
A melody, soft, tender, unbridled.
Your laughter danced in the chambers of my heart,
Now it echoes, tearing me apart.
I trace the edges of memories’ flame,
Each moment etched, I call your name.
But the wind carries it far away,
Into the void where shadows play.
Your touch was warmth, a fleeting spark,
A lantern’s glow against the dark.
Now the night consumes, unkind, untrue,
For the world feels empty without you.
Was it my fault the stars grew dim?
Did I let love falter, sink, or swim?
Questions bloom like wild despair,
But answers vanish in the air.
If I could, I’d tear the hours asunder,
Rewrite the past, undo my blunder.
Hold you closer, beg you to stay,
Chase the pain and time away.
But now, I stand where dreams dissolve,
In grief’s deep maze, I cannot solve.
Yet still, I’ll carry your light inside,
A love eternal, though denied.
